Like I wonder how he can be in high school
He asks the dumbest questions?
Questions that are super friggin obvious
Like "is this a picture book" when the sticker on the spine clearly says it's an "easy reader", not a picture book
And he touches the librarians' stuff when he shouldn't be? Like jfc this guy is clueless
Anyway today
Volunteering was over so we were on our phones, waiting for one of the ladies to sign us out
I pull out my phone and start turning on the wifi and such
And then I notice the guy, out of the corner of my eye, move so that he's standing beside me. I get a feeling that he's staring at my screen with the least subtlety in the fucking universe since he's like leaning forward so he can stare at it, he isn't even against the wall like I am he's just standing there to my left
But the thing is, I don't want to confront the guy (anti-confrontational person here lmfao) and since it's just out of the corner of my eye, I'm not sure if it's just my anxiety making me THINK he's staring at my screen, so I start moving my phone in certain ways and judging his response. Sure enough, this clueless guy just keeps moving so he can keep looking at my screen.
I held my phone screen even closer to my face in the hopes that he'd give up but the funniest thing happened
In his attempt to continue looking at my screen for some damn reason he stepped towards the wall and collided with the metal stool to my left, making him trip
Like oh my god I almost cracked up (but I kept my face neutral somehow omfg) THIS IS THE LEAST SUBTLE GUY IN THE UNIVERSE AND HE GOT PLAYED LIKE A DAMN FIDDLE
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND PRIVACY
then I moved away and he decided to stare at another guy's phone

Hey guys, Jade here! No, I'm not coming back to deviantART. But I thought that the few of you who are still here might want to know about this. I'll be straight to the point: Withering Hope is being revamped so the characters aren't YouTubers anymore! Yes, it's a bit weird to start a revamp of a 5-year-old story this close to the end, but I feel like this development has been long overdue. For years, I have been very uncomfortable with YouTuber fanfiction. I believe this was a huge contributor to my writer's block. Those of you who have been keeping up with this story for a while can attest to the long, long hiatuses (some even lasting more than a year). I tried to power through, which is how a bunch of chapters was released in the past few months, but I reached a point where I felt little to no excitement with each update. It sounds corny, but a few days ago, I had a dream where I revamped this story. When I woke up and really thought about the idea, it was honestly the happiest I
Leaving dA
Wow I was actually just going to think about it, but literally as I was writing this journal I realized that my heart is already set on leaving. There are a number of reasons. Many people I originally watched on dA left the site a long time ago. I also rarely post anything on here; I don't make journals much anymore and I only post new WH chapters. I also feel like most of my watchers are either gone or are able to read WH on some other site. The friends I made on here are also gone, or on other sites. Eclipse has also made it extremely time-consuming to upload chapters because my chapters tend to be very long and I have to manually put spaces between each paragraph. In fact, many new Eclipse features have indicated that the site does not value literature anymore. Not only can you not filter search results based on literature, but there are no more genres to select. There's just... literature. All kinds of stories and poems and the like are now just mashed together because they're
